Many types of fruit trees, the new plant tomato indoor is sure to be the most popular, especially with the fluctuating price of tomatoes in the grocery store. Here's a quick guide to buying and caring for your indoor tomato plants ...
Tomato plants now available
Many types of fruit have been grown successfully indoors for years. The most popular, the Meyer lemon tree, is a prolific grower that yields sweet, seedless lemons, twice a year. With the success of Meyer lemon, horticultural scientists have developed other small citrus fruit trees that grow well indoors.
Recently introduced a new indoor tomato plant. The plant can be grown indoors in the same type of container used for tomato plants outdoors. Tomatoes, actually a fruit and a vegetable as assume most people are more or less the size of a plum tomato.
These plants are designed to produce two or three harvests of fruit every year. In terms of size, they top the same variety, about three feet tall. One of the advantages is however this indoor variety is narrower and tend to grow more upwards against branch.
We have tested these plants are very satisfied with the results. They come in a pack of three and are very cheap. Doesn't look like much when they arrive, much like a tomato seedling plant, but after a couple of weeks begin to grow rapidly. Their yield per plant is very similar to what you would get outdoors, about four or five kilos.
Indoor tips by tomato plant
The two most important care tips are exposure to Sun and irrigation. Water your plant twice a week, so the soil is dry side slightly damp. Place the container in a sunny window, preferably one that provides at least six hours of sunshine per day.
If you need to add to the amount of sunlight, or if your living space does not provide adequate exposure, we recommend a light internal growth. By the way, these are also useful for other types of fruit trees covered too. Internal growth lights can be set to stand next to your plant and shine directly on top. While there is no perfect substitute for natural sunlight, a lightweight indoor cultivation is almost as good.
In terms of land, just use a regular potting soil from your garden center. Indoor tomatoes do not require any special care and pest problems are uncommon. If you want, you can take the plant outdoors during the summer, but it is not necessary.
The indoor tomato plants are a welcome addition to the family of fruit tree. Tomato prices seem to vary seasonally, especially in recent years with several periods of drought, freezes, and other natural disasters.
